WKA gearing up for Daytona KartWeek
09.01.2010 – World Karting officials are proud to announce the continuation of Daytona KartWeek December 27-30 at the World Center of Racing, Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. On the heels of a most successful debut for the newly constructed dirt track last season, officials predict a huge increase in kart count for this year’s version of the Dirt World Championships for the Briggs & Stratton Speedway Dirt Series.

NASCAR-focused driver talent search launches
09.01.2010 (SACRAMENTO, Calif.) – The national NASCAR-focused driver talent search conducted by Ron Sutton's Winner's Circle has been launched. Top young drivers will be selected to participate in driver tryouts at the 2010 Shoot-Out in October.  Winning drivers joining the development program will be raced, groomed, coached, tested, trained and molded into what NASCAR Cup teams want in their drivers.

2010 Road Race Regional Bonus Points now posted

08.30.2010 – The 2010 Road Race Regional Bonus Points spreadsheet is now posted. It reflects event credits for all regional events completed as of the first of August.  Competitors listed are those who have competed in at least three nationals as of the Putnam Park national.  

The August event at Roebling Road will be updated upon receipt of the paperwork as well as the Southern Kart Club season finale, which is the upcoming October event at Roebling Road.

WKA Midwest Sprint Series EMJ Metals Grand Prix recap
08.27.2010 – The Midwest Sprint Series, one of WKA’s strongest divisional programs, concluded its five-race season Aug. 21-22 at the popular Concept Haulers Motor Speedway in Norway, Illinois. 08.26.2010 – The Dunlop Tire Road Racing Series driven by Mazda invaded the Putnam Park Road Course last weekend for the annual Dart Kart Club-hosted Road Race Nationals at the west-central Indiana venue.

Paulie Harraka to make first Nationwide start Saturday at Montreal
08.26.2010 – WKA Triple Crown winner and multi-time national champion Paulie Harraka’s fast rise up the racing ladder takes him to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, this weekend where he’ll make his first NASCAR Nationwide Series start at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve road course. The 20-year-old Harraka will drive a car for Joe Nemecheck in a one-race deal that has potential to become a multi-race schedule.

Climo breaks through with a pair of wins, Ciotti scores first Cadet victory at BeaveRun
08.26.2010 (Wampum, Pa.) – The BeaveRun “Doubles” have provided great racing in 2010 as well as some breakthrough performances and the latest round did not disappoint as Reston, Virginia’s Ayrton Climo picked up his first two wins in the Cook Racing Engines Yamaha Junior Can class.
