CONCORD, N.C. – World Karting Association and American Kart Racing Association officials have announced the class structure for the 2014 Daytona Dirt World Championships, set to go off December 27-29 at the Daytona International Speedway Flat Track.
This year’s Daytona class structure again centers on the Clone and Briggs & Stratton Racing Animal power plants, and little has changed from the last year’s schedule.
CONCORD, N.C. – The 2014 version of the Daytona Dirt World Championships will offer payouts to all classes, including “pro” and “trophy” divisions, and all feature winners will earn a “Daytona World Champion” leather jacket.
Set to go off December 27-29 at the Daytona International Speedway Flat Track, all classes that compete at the 2014 Dirt World Championships will boast guaranteed payouts to at least the top-five finishers.
CONCORD, N.C. – We’re less than one month away from the 2014 WKA RLV Tuned Exhaust Products Gold Cup Series season closer this October 17-19 at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, S.C., where the GT Machine Grand Nationals will take center stage in the 4-cycle sprint karting world.
Next month’s Gold Cup Grand Nationals will mark the series’ third visit to CMP’s 0.7-mile sprint course. The track’s first-ever WKA sprint national came when the Gold Cup visited Kershaw on a cold and rainy March weekend in 2010.
CONCORD, N.C. – The annual WKA Membership Meeting will be held at WKA headquarters at 6051 Victory Lane; Concord, N.C., Saturday morning November 1. The Membership Meeting will be held in conjunction with the annual face-to-face WKA Board Meeting.
The Membership Meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and normally lasts until approximately noon. Any WKA current member in good standing is invited to join.
The Membership Meeting and face-to-face Board Meeting have been in Indianapolis the last two years.

CONCORD, N.C. – The fifth and final round of the 2014 Mazda / Bridgestone Manufacturers Cup Series will take place in less than two weeks – October 3-5 – when WKA’s national 2-cycle sprint series returns to New Castle Motorsports Park for the second time this year.
In August the Man Cup Series competed on New Castle’s Iron Man Course for the first time in over 10 years of visiting New Castle, and this October the series will utilize NCMP’s “bus-stop” corner, or “chicane,” for the first time.
