TIRE RULES AND PROCEDURES
All competitors will utilize Bridgestone tires. Each class has to run the compound specific to their class, as designated by the following schedule.
2014 Tire Compounds
Kid Kart / Sportsman: YLC
TaG, Parilla, TaG Masters: YLC
Rain Tire Policy: Bridgestone YLP wet-weather tire must be used.
All competitors are required to qualify on new/unused tires on Race Day 1. Competitors are allowed to practice on any type of recognized and accepted Bridgestone spec tire.
Kid Kart, Yamaha Rookie Sportsman, Cadet, Komet and Yamaha Sportsman competitors are required to run the same tire on both days of competition.
All other drivers are permitted to run new tires on Sunday. However, if competitor chooses to run the same tires both days, he/she must present the tires to an official at the end of the Saturday competition day at a designated location for inspection and branding. If a competitor shows up to the grid on Sunday with a set of used, unbranded tires, or if the brand has been altered in any way, competitor will be subject to disqualification as per the Race Director. This action will result in driver receiving 0 points for the class, non-droppable DQ.
Any competitor disqualified for the use of prep, no matter which day, will be immediately disqualified from that class, and all remaining classes for the weekend, and will be subject to one-year suspension by Board of Trustees, as per the recommendation by WKA race officials.
ALL FINDINGS, RESULTS AND SUBSEQUENT PENALTIES STEMMING FROM THE TIRE SNIFFERS PERFORMANCE WILL BE CONSIDERED FINAL. THERE WILL BE NO OPTION OF HAVING TIRES TESTED AT A LAB.
