CONCORD, N.C. – WKA is proud to announce its national 2-cycle sprint series will now be known as the WKA Mazda / Bridgestone Manufacturers Cup Series.
The new title replaces the former WKA George Kugler / Bridgestone Manufacturer’s Cup Series driven by Mazda tag, which was in place for the national tour over the past couple decades.
The new title brings Mazda to the forefront of the series name with Bridgestone. Both international entities have aided WKA with an immeasurable amount of sponsorship and support for a number of years, and officials felt Mazda was deserving of a more prominent place in WKA’s most successful national series’ title.
English grammar experts and enthusiasts also will notice the apostrophe has been deleted from “Manufacturers,” giving the series name a cleaner look in logos, literature, etc., as well as staying consistent with proper English grammar.
