CONCORD, N.C. – The Daytona Dirt World Championships at the Daytona Int’l Speedway Flat Track is on the schedule for this December’s WKA Daytona KartWeek, marking the fourth annual event at the quarter-mile dirt track located outside turns one and two of the DIS superspeedway.
This year’s World Championships schedule will include parking and practice on Friday, Dec. 28 and racing on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 29 and 30.
Racers can expect an early to mid-October release from WKA that will detail the 2012 version of the prestigious event. Conference calls and meetings are currently taking place and have been for several weeks to develop this year’s World Championships program.
Next week, more meetings will be held to finalize the event.
Following the October announcement, the entry blank will be released and pre-entries will be accepted.
Dirt teams can plan on the biggest and best Dirt World Championships since WKA began running at the DIS Flat Track. Several exciting, new programs are in the works that have WKA officials extremely excited about this year’s event.
