2015 MANUFACTURERS CUP SERIES CLASS STRUCTURE

214.1 KID KARTS
DRIVER REQ: Attained age of 5 through 7
ENGINE: Comer C51 only. (See Section 621)
FUEL: Spec Fuel.
MINIMUM WEIGHT: 150 lbs.
TIRES: Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 GEAR RATIO: 10/89
OTHER: (1) See Section 900 for chassis and bodywork specifications (2) Laps in race and track configuration may be adjusted by Race Director. (3) Class runs on same tires both days. (4) New tires not required.

214.2 YAMAHA ROOKIE SPORTSMAN
DRIVER REQ: Attained age of 7 through 10.
ENGINE: Yamaha, Only heads with OEM casting “Yamaha” and cylinders with Y3 or Y4 and 787 are legal
EXHAUST: RLV YBX muffler. (See Section 554.1 and Figure 554.1)
CARBURETOR: Walbro WA55B with WA55B manifold (See Sections 601.6 and 601.7).
FUEL: Spec Fuel.
KART: Cadet or standard kart chassis allowed.
MINIMUM WEIGHT: 225 lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 front and rear.
OTHER: (1) Gear Ratio 5.30 Min., No Max. (2) Drivers who have competed in the Cadet, Yamaha, or Komet Sportsman classes at any WKA Sanctioned National or Divisional event are not eligible to race in Yamaha Rookie Sportsman. (3) Past year champion must move out of Rookie classes. (4) Class runs on same tires both days; new set required at qualifying round.

• 214.3 COMER ROOKIE SPORTSMAN
DRIVER REQ: Attained age of 7 through 10.   
ENGINE: Comer K-80. Filter adapter (restrictor) to be run as manufactured with no modifications.
FUEL: Spec Fuel.
KART: Cadet or standard kart chassis allowed.
MINIMUM WEIGHT: 215 lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 front and rear.
OTHER: (1) Gear Ratio 5.30 Min., No Max. (2) Drivers who have competed in the Cadet, Yamaha, or Komet Sportsman classes at any WKA Sanctioned National or Divisional event are not eligible to race in Comer Rookie Sportsman. (3) Past year champion must move out of Rookie classes. (4) Class runs on same tires both days; new set required at qualifying round.

214.4 YAMAHA SPORTSMAN
DRIVER REQ: Attained age 8 through 12.
ENGINE: Yamaha, Only heads with OEM casting “Yamaha” and cylinders with Y3 or Y4 and 787 are legal
EXHAUST: RLV SSX-V #7548. (See Section 554.3 and Figure 554.3)
CARBURETOR: Walbro WA55B with WA55B manifold (See Sections 601.6 and 601.7).
FUEL: Spec Fuel.
KART: Cadet or standard kart chassis allowed.
MINIMUM WEIGHTS:  245 lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 Front and rear.
OTHER: (1) Gear Ratio 5.30 Min., NO Max. (2) No axle clutches. (3) Class runs on same tires both days; new set required at qualifying round. 

214.5 KOMET SPORTSMAN
DRIVER REQ: Attained age of 8 through 12.
ENGINE: Komet Piston Valve
FUEL: Spec Fuel.
KART: Cadet or standard kart chassis allowed.
MINIMUM WEIGHT:  245 lbs.
EXHAUST: Komet Piston Valve Sportsman spec header & pipe (See Section 554.8). HPV 1 Pipe is no longer allowed.
CARBURETOR: Walbro WA55B or HPV1
SPEC TIRE: Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 Front and rear.
OTHER: (1) Gear Ratio 5.30 Min., NO Max. (2) Class runs on same tires both days; new set required at qualifying round. 

• 214.6 PRO TAG SPORTSMAN
DRIVER REQ: Attained age of 8 through 12.
ENGINE: Vortex Mini Rok 60cc
FUEL: Spec Fuel.
KART: Cadet or standard kart chassis allowed.
MINIMUM WEIGHT:  245 lbs.
EXHAUST: Must be stock pipe and exhaust header as supplied by manufacturer.
CARBURETOR: Must be stock carburetor as supplied by manufacturer.
SPEC TIRE Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 Front and rear.
OTHER: Class runs on same tires both days; new set required at qualifying round. 

214.7 YAMAHA JUNIOR
DRIVER REQ: Age 12 through 15
ENGINE: Yamaha KT100. Only heads with OEM casting “Yamaha” and cylinders with Y3 or Y4 and 787 are legal.
FUEL: Spec Fuel.
MINIMUM WEIGHTS: 320 lbs.
EXHAUST: RLV SSX-V #7548. (See Section 554.3 and Figure. 554.3)
SPEC TIRES:  Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50-5 front, 11 x 6.00-5 rear
OTHER: (1) No axle clutches. (2) Two sets of tires allowed for racing program. New set required at qualifying round; second set to be used at racer discretion.

214.8 PRO IAME JUNIOR
DRIVER REQ: Age 12 through 15.
ENGINES: IAME Parilla Leopard or IAME X30
MINIMUM WEIGHTS: 320 lbs.
FUEL: Spec Fuel
EXHAUST PIPE/SILENCER: Must be stock pipe and restricted exhaust header as supplied by manufacturer for each specific engine. Parilla Leopard requires 25mm header. Parilla X30 requires 29mm header.
CARBURETOR: Must be stock carburetor as supplied by manufacturer for each specific engine.
SPEC TIRE: Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 front, 11 x 7.10 - 5 rear
AIRBOX: Required. See Section 551.
OTHER: (1) In the event that the engine cannot be started on the grid with the onboard starter, an auxiliary starter may be used. In any case, the onboard starter is subject to post race tech inspection to ensure that all components are present and correctly installed. (2) Two sets of tires allowed for racing program. New set required at qualifying round; second set to be used at racer discretion.

214.9 PRO LEOPARD SENIOR
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINES: IAME Parilla Leopard
MINIMUM WEIGHTS: 365 lbs.
FUEL: Spec Fuel
EXHAUST PIPE/SILENCER: Must be stock pipe and exhaust header as supplied by manufacturer. The minimum combined length of the header and connector pipe must be at least 15 ¾”. Pipe to be measured on the kart as raced.
CARBURETOR: Must be stock carburetor as supplied by manufacturer.
SPEC TIRE: Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 front, 11 x 7.10 - 5 rear
AIRBOX: Required. See Section 551.
OTHER: (1) In the event that the engine cannot be started on the grid with the onboard starter, an auxiliary starter may be used. In any case, the onboard starter is subject to post race tech inspection to ensure that all components are present and correctly installed. (2) Two sets of tires allowed for racing program. New set required at qualifying round; second set to be used at racer discretion. (3) Racers age 35 and older may enter class as a Masters division driver and the best Masters finisher will win a trophy; Masters division driver will be denoted by three-digit number.

• 214.10 PRO X30 SENIOR
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINES: IAME X30
MINIMUM WEIGHTS: 350 lbs.
FUEL: Spec Fuel
EXHAUST PIPE/SILENCER: Must be stock pipe and exhaust header as supplied by manufacturer. The minimum combined length is 16 ¾” as measured from the back side of the header flange around the right side of the header, connector, and pipe to the first weld at the end of the divergent cone. Pipe to be measured on the kart as raced.
CARBURETOR: Must be stock carburetor as supplied by manufacturer.
SPEC TIRE: Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 front, 11 x 7.10 - 5 rear
AIRBOX: Required. See Section 551.
OTHER: (1) In the event that the engine cannot be started on the grid with the onboard starter, an auxiliary starter may be used. MINIMUM WEIGHT:  385 lbs.
EXHAUST: Reference Rule 620.9 in 2014 WKA Tech Manual.
CARBURETOR: Reference Rule 620.2 in 2014 WKA Tech Manual.
SPEC TIRE: Bridgestone YLB – 10 x 4.50 - 5 front, 11 x 7.10 - 5 rear
OTHER: Two sets of tires allowed for racing program. New set required at qualifying round; second set to be used at racer discretion.

• 214.12 YAMAHA SENIOR PIPE
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINES: Yamaha KT100. Only heads with OEM casting “Yamaha” and cylinders with Y3 or Y4 and 787 are legal.
FUEL: Spec Fuel.
MINIMUM WEIGHT: 340 lbs.
EXHAUST: SR-Y Pipe and RLV 9110 Header - 1.750” connector tube - 9.5” minimum from piston to end of connector tube. (See Section 554.7)
SPEC TIRE:  Bridgestone YLC – 10 x 4.50 - 5 front, 11 x 7.10 - 5 rear.
OTHER: (1) No axle clutches. (2) Two sets of tires allowed for racing program. New set required at qualifying round; second set to be used at racer discretion.
