Gold Cup Tire Rules Revised
As Competitors Gear Up For Jacksonville
03.06.2008 - With the beginning of the Gold Cup racing season right around the corner, WKA Officials have announced a revision to the tire rules for the 2008 season.

Beginning with the Tomar Engineering Nationals at the famed 103rd Street Sports Complex, competitors will be allowed to bring either new or used tires up for qualifying, or a combination of both.

Tires will NOT be branded this year. Instead, competitors on the Gold Cup Series will follow the same procedures as the Manufacturer’s Cup Series. Competitor’s tires will be marked upon their completion of qualifying and their heat races.

The season opener is less than one month away as the green flag drops at Jax on March 28th.
