  2008 CLASS STRUCTURES

Important rule changes for 2008:
- Jr Sportsman 1 Lite and Heavy and Jr Sportsman 2 Lite and Heavy will be Animal engines only.
- All Senior classes will be using the Maxxis HT-3 as their spec tire.

Please review the 2008 Tech Manual for all rules and regulations.

BRIGGS JUNIOR SPORTSMAN 1
LITE & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 8 thru 10.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine with a restrictor plate top hole 0.235” and a bottom hole of 0.275” (purple).
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 250 lbs. (LITE), 265 lbs. (HEAVY).
OTHER: No steering fairing.
SPEC TIRE: Vega Oval Yellow.

BRIGGS JUNIOR SPORTSMAN 1
RAPTOR CHAMP
DRIVER REQ: Age 8 thru 10.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock 5HP, with a 0.425” (purple) restrictor plate.
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 300 lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Vega Oval Yellow.
OTHER: Races Saturday and Sunday, single championship.

BRIGGS JUNIOR SPORTSMAN 2
LITE & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Ages 10 thru 12.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine with a restrictor plate top hole 0.275” and a bottom hole of 0.325” (turquoise/blue).
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 275 lbs. (LITE), 290 lbs. (HEAVY).
OTHER: No steering fairing.
SPEC TIRE: Vega Oval Yellow.

BRIGGS JUNIOR SPORTSMAN 2
RAPTOR CHAMP
DRIVER REQ: Age 10 thru 12.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock 5HP, with a 0.500” (turquoise) restrictor plate.
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 315 lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Vega Oval Yellow.
OTHER: Races Saturday and Sunday, single championship.

BRIGGS JUNIOR LITE & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 12 thru 15.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal with a 0.505” (gold) restrictor plate.
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 300 lbs. (LITE), 320 lbs. (HEAVY).
SPEC TIRE: Vega Oval Yellow.

BRIGGS JUNIOR CHAMP LITE & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 12 thru 15.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine with a .575 (Black) restrictor plate.
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 335 lbs. (LITE), 355 lbs. (HEAVY).
SPEC TIRE: Vega Oval Yellow.

BRIGGS LIMITED MEDIUM & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINES: Briggs & Stratton Animal Modified Engine.
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 350 lbs. (MEDIUM), 375 lbs. (HEAVY).
SPEC TIRE: Maxxis HT-3.

BRIGGS SENIOR CHAMP LITE & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine.
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 410 lbs. (LITE), 425 lbs. (HEAVY).

BRIGGS SENIOR STOCK
DRIVER REQ: Age 35 and older.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine.
FUEL: Methanol. MIN WEIGHT: 375 lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Maxxis HT-3.

BRIGGS LITE, MEDIUM & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine.
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 330 lbs. (LITE), 350 lbs. (MEDIUM), 375 lbs. (HEAVY). SPEC
TIRE: Maxxis HT-3.

BRIGGS SUPER HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine. FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: Overall MIN weight is 400 lbs. Maximum kart weight is 200lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Maxxis HT-3.

BRIGGS RAPTOR 330
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock 5HP Engine.
FUEL: Methanol. MIN WEIGHT: 330 lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Maxxis HT-3.

BRIGGS RAPTOR 370
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock 5HP Engine.
FUEL: Methanol.
MIN WEIGHT: 370 lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Maxxis HT-3.

KID KARTS
(Exhibition Only)
DRIVER REQ: Age 5 -7. SPECS: Comer C-50 or C-51, Gas & oil only, 150 lbs min weight, open tire compound. Front & rear size 10x4.50 or 4.60-5 w/ max 33.75” circumference. See section 900 for more info.
