Important rule changes for the 2008-racing season:
• Jr Sportsman 1 Lite and Heavy and Jr Sportsman 2 Lite and Heavy will be Animal engines only
• Jr Champ Raptor will run both days for a single championship.

BRIGGS JUNIOR SPORTSMAN 1
LITE & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 8 thru 10.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine with a restrictor plate top hole 0.235” and a bottom hole of 0.275” (purple).
FUEL: Methanol.
MINIMUM WEIGHT: 250 lbs. (LITE), 265 lbs. (HEAVY).
OTHER: No steering fairing allowed.
SPEC TIRE: Firestone YGF.
BRIGGS JR SPORTSMAN 1 CHAMP
LITE & HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 8 thru 10.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine with a restrictor plate top hole 0.235” and a bottom hole of 0.275” (purple).
FUEL: Methanol.
MINIMUM WEIGHT: 285 lbs (LITE), 300 lbs (HEAVY).
SPEC TIRE: Dunlop DCS.
OTHER: Races Saturday and Sunday, single championship.

DRIVER REQ: Ages 10 and 12.

MINIMUM WEIGHT: 275 lbs. (LITE), 290 lbs. (HEAVY).
OTHER: No steering fairing allowed.

BRIGGS JR SPORTSMAN 2 CHAMP

DRIVER REQ: Age 10 thru 12.

MINIMUM WEIGHT: 310 lbs (LITE), 325 lbs (HEAVY).

DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine FUEL: Methanol.
MINIMUM WEIGHT: 330 lbs. (LITE), 350 lbs. (MEDIUM), 375 lbs. (HEAVY) - Maximum kart weight in Heavy class is 200 pounds.
SPEC TIRE: Dunlop DCS.
BRIGGS SUPER HEAVY
DRIVER REQ: Age 15 and older.
ENGINE: Briggs & Stratton Stock Animal Engine
FUEL: Methanol.
MINIMUM WEIGHT: Overall minimum weight is 400 lbs. Maximum kart weight is 200lbs.
SPEC TIRE: Dunlop DCS.
KID KARTS

DRIVER REQ: Age 5 -7. SPECS: Comer C-50 or C-51, Gas & oil only, 150 lbs min weight, open tire compound. Front & rear size 10x4.50 or 4.60-5 w/ max 33.75” circumference. See section 900 for more info.
