2022 WKA Manufacturers Cup Dates and Locations Confirmed

With only one event remaining in the 2021 World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup program, series officials are pleased to confirm and announce their official 2022 season schedule and tentative Daytona schedule. With three events this season, 2022 will see an increase to four event weekends and will kick off at the prestigious WKA Daytona Kartweek at the famed Daytona International Speedway in between the Christmas and New Year holiday.

“We are excited about our 2022 schedule as we will visit locations that have been on the calendar for quite some time, but also a new one to cap off the season,” explained WKA President Kevin Williams. “We will return to the Daytona International Speedway for our traditional kick off to the new season before returning to the Charlotte Motor Speedway in March. May will see us back at the New Castle Motorsports Park while our season will wrap up at the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati in Ohio in August.”

2022 WKA Manufacturers Cup Schedule
December 27-30 – Daytona International Speedway – Daytona Beach, Florida
March 25-27 – Charlotte Motor Speedway – Concord, North Carolina
May 13-15 – New Castle Motorsports Park – Spiceland, Indiana
August 12-14 – Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati – Milford, Ohio

The 2022 WKA Manufacturers Cup will feature IAME, Comer and Briggs & Stratton 206 classes. Returning to the calendar will be Kid Kart Briggs, 206 Cadet, 206 Junior as well as Ignite Junior, Senior and Master and the CIK 206 #375 and CIK 206 #360 divisions. On the IAME side of the program, WKA competitors will have the options to compete in Micro Swift, Mini Swift, KA100 Junior and KA100 Senior and Master. Lastly WKA will also continue with its Kid Kart Comer program.

“We have gone through our schedule with a fine-tooth comb to ensure that we stayed off other series traditional dates,” added Chairman of the Board Mike Tetreault. “The WKA has always been for the karter, and we will continue that in 2022 and beyond. For next season we will switch to an IAME, Comer and Briggs only program, and continue our partnership with Margay Ignite offering the full slate of Ignite classes. Before then, we hope to see you at our final event of the 2021 season at the New Castle Motorsports Park in a few weeks, and we look forward to waving the green flag on our new season in December.”
