It is that time of the year again. With the crazy 2020 more than halfway complete, the World Karting Association (WKA) staff is already working on plans for 2021. With the first event of next year less than five months away, the WKA Tech Manual is the first order of business to be finalized giving teams, competitors and suppliers ample opportunity to be prepared for a new season of competition.
Relaunching the WKA Tech Manual Cover contest that was so very successful last year, WKA is set to award cash or credit to the person who comes forth with the best design.
“For the first time ever, WKA conducted a Design the Cover Contest last year, and it was met with great member participation,” expressed Kevin Williams. “The Board of Trustees really enjoyed seeing the artistic talents of our members, and the WKA Members appreciated the portrayal of WKA Karting.”
For the 2021 edition of the rule book, the chosen winner will receive either $200 cash or $400 in WKA credit towards national events listed on the 2021 calendar. Tech Manual contest submissions should be sent anytime between now and midnight of September 30th, 2020 with the winner being selected by the WKA Board of Trustees during their October 13th conference call.
Williams added, “Get your designs in and we will begin to share them on the WKA social media channels in the coming weeks. If you see a design that you think is better than yours, you can always try again and resubmit.”
Please submit all WKA Tech Manual Contest submissions to Media@WorldKarting.com.
