Class Changes for WKA Manufacturers Cup

With pre-entries closing soon for the World Karting Association Manufacturers Cup event in Daytona, WKA officials have made the difficult decision to remove classes with less than the required entry count. With the removal of these classes from the schedule, room has been made to add an additional on track session in the form of a heat race for 206 Cadet, Junior and Senior.

“It is unfortunate that we did not get the required entries for four different classes,” expressed WKA President Kevin Williams. “With that being said, our largest classes will enjoy additional track time as the 206 classes provide some of the closest wheel-to-wheel racing of the Manufacturers Cup program.”

The four classes that will not race in Daytona and that have been removed from the national calendar are Shifter ROK, Shifter Master ROK, Senior ROK and Masters ROK. A revised Daytona KartWeek Manufacturers Cup event schedule can be downloaded HERE.

Williams added, “The ROK divisions will be offered as local option classes at both Charlotte and New Castle if the required entry minimum is met.”

While pre-entries for WKA Kartweek close on December 10th, trackside registration will open on December 27th.
