2024 Tech Update 2024-001
WKA 2023 Tech Manual Supplement

The following updates to the WKA Regulations have been approved by the WKA Board of Trustees, and are in effect beginning with Daytona Kartweek 2023. These regulations are to be used in conjunction with the 2023 WKA Tech Manual for 2024 Competitions.

TM 103.5 COMPETITION LICENSE
Add:
WKA reserves the right to verify/approve/reject endorsements at each National Event, prior to the driver taking part in any element of the event, regardless if License was issued at the time of WKA Membership approval. It is the driver’s responsibility to be prepared to provide proof of their racing history for endorsement approval.

TM 106.21 MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETING
Failure to attend a mandatory drivers’ meeting will waive the competitor’s right of protest for that day.
Change to:
Failure to attend the mandatory drivers’ meeting will be penalized at the discretion of WKA.

TM 308.2.10 FLOOR PAN / BELLY PAN
A floor pan/belly pan is allowed in all classes…
Change to:
A floor pan/belly pan is allowed in all laydown and SuperKart classes…

TM 312.12 – X30 (FINAL 1 & 2)
Change to:
TM 312.12 – TAG 125 Water-Cooled Laydown
Driver: 15 and older Road Race class 2 licence
Engines: all TAG engines airbox,starter,battery,chain gaurd,starter components may be removed. Axle clutch and belt drive allowed.
Fule: spec fuel
Pipe: any pipe allowed
Weight: Motor-specific

TM 313.1 DIVISION 1 SUPERKART
And
TM 313.2 DIVISION 2 SUPERKART
Overall Length: 210 cm maximum, without rear bumper, front fairing and rear fairing.
Change to:
Overall Length: 210 cm maximum, with rear bumper, front fairing and rear fairing.

TM 351.8 FLOOR PAN/BELLY PAN
In those classes requiring CIK style bodywork, the floor pan/belly pan must be within the frame rails, side to side and front to back and no higher than the center of the rear axle. (See figure 208).
Change to:
In those classes requiring CIK style bodywork, floor pans are only permited within the main side chassis rails, between the front and center (waist) chassis rails. No portion may be above the centerline of the rear axle or within the front bumper loop.

TM 362.17 125 SPRINT SHIFTER (FINAL 1 & 2)
Add:
KZ Motor Specifications:
1- Engine and Transmission must be one unit, and not be separable, engine case may only separate into 2 parts.
2- Carburetor 30mm max bore measured on engine side of carb.
3- Cylinder head volume is to be a minimum of 13.4cc, for procedure see section 504.
4- Transmission must meet homologation, no shift assistance, no ignition interrupter, or pneumatic shifters, must be manually shifted
5-Exhaust system must be homologated for the specific engine, manufacturing must match engine, you can run a newer system on older engine if original pipe is not currently manufactured
6- Air box must be homologated, and have no more than 2 tube’s with 30mm max bore.
