After a great 2022 kickoff event at the Daytona International Speedway during the World Karting Association (WKA) Kartweek, the WKA Manufacturers Cup Presented by Summit Racing Equipment is set to get back on track in six weeks’ time. Ready to attack the Charlotte Karting Complex at the famed Charlotte Motor Speedway, registration is now open.
“We had a very successful Kartweek event as the entry numbers continue to climb from year-to-year,” explained WKA’s Mike Tetreault. “Charlotte is our so-called home event for WKA, and we are looking forward to another great event weekend. With back-to-back races inside two of North America’s most famed Speedways, karting competitors have the opportunity to start building their legacy at a young age at both Daytona and Charlotte.”
Added to the Charlotte event will be an optional practice day that will be offered to registered drivers on Thursday, March 24th with load in beginning during the early afternoon hours on Wednesday, March 23rd. Official practice and qualifying will begin on Friday, March 25th. WKA and the Charlotte Motor Speedway will also be offering limited motorhome hookup parking, standard no hookup parking, garages and pit spots which will all open on March 2nd. Please text 609.326.3741 to reserve your space on or after March 2nd. Texts will be returned with phone call for confirmation. Any texts received before March 2nd will not be valid.
