WKA Manufacturers Cup Two-Class Incentive Program

Listening to their customers and adjusting for the better of the sport, the World Karting Association (WKA) has made changes to the Summit Racing Manufacturers Cup Presented by Vega entry program. Already announcing that a membership was not needed for competitors who were not running for championship points, Series Officials have now decreased the cost for any competitor entering a second or third class on a race weekend.

“We listened to some of the concerns of our customers and felt this was an area that we could help them save a little money, as well as try and increase participation on event weekends,” explained WKA’s Mike Tetreault. “This discount will only apply for pre-entries only and will not apply to walk up entries at the track.”

Here is how the program will work:

  • If a competitor enters only one class, they will enter as normal. The competitor’s card will not be charged immediately but will be it will be charged within 12 to 24 hours after the online entry has been received. Additionally, after the card has been charged, the competitor will receive a payment confirmation.
  • If a competitor enters two classes, they will enter as normal. The competitor’s card will not be charged immediately. Following your online registration, send an email tomike@worldkarting.com with the driver’s name and total store contents and the competitor will receive $50.00 discount for two Kid Kart classes and $100 discount for all other classes. The competitor’s card will then be charged, and they will receive a payment confirmation and a receipt showing the new total with the discount applied.
  • Any competitor who has already entered two classes for the New Castle event prior to this program announcement can emailmike@worldkarting.com to receive a credit to the form of payment.

Kevin Williams continued, “WKA is doing everything possible to make karting affordable for event and everyone’s budgets. We know with inflation and fuel it still is going to be a challenging summer for sure.”
