World Karting Association Releases New Membership License Portal

As the world continues to become more technologically advanced, the World Karting Association (WKA) is doing the same opening a new membership license portal through MotorsportsReg.com. Offering 12-month memberships where the member is the driver only, the new portal is simple and easy to use and can be accessed right through the MotorsportsReg website and member’s account.

“The best thing about our new membership portal is that we will stop using our paper entry blanks for any and all series as well as get rid of our master and associate member program which always caused some confusion,” explained WKA President Kevin Williams. “Also, memberships that expired in March, April or May, or those who applied and/or sent in a new membership, the WKA office staff recently sent letters out explaining how to convert to the membership to our new system.”

Moving forward, all yearly membership renewals will be sent through MotorsportsReg and your new WKA membership will save directly to your online MotorsportsReg profile. Beginning with Mid-Ohio for Road Race in June and the WKA Kartweek events for Speedway Dirt and Manufacturers Cup later this year, all entries will need to have their membership updated through their MotorsportsReg account before attempting to enter any 2022 championship events.

“Membership has always been at the core of WKA’s foundation since its inception and drives the very structure of WKA,” continued Williams. “Membership allows racers to contribute in the decisions of WKA, from Regulations, to Trustee selection, to committee input. Additionally, members get the benefits of WKA’s family of supporters, with discounts and special pricing. In the words of George Kugler himself, WKA is you.”

Williams added, “MotorsportsReg will send out renewal reminders and notices when memberships are coming close to expiring. This new initiative will create a faster registration process and better experience for the team and competitor. The value and partnership that MotorsportsReg brings to WKA is something that we plan to continue for years to come.”

The 2021/2022 membership prices are as follows:

Membership Prices
35.00 General Member (Non-Racer)
79.00 Sprint
79.00 Speedway Pavement/Dirt
79.00 Road Race (No more extra cost for class endorsements)

All memberships include the WKA Tech Manual (35.00 value)

New membership cards will be sent out for the WKA Office once your membership is processed.

If you would like to purchase a Tech Manual only, please register as a 35.00 General Member. General Membership includes a Tech Manual, which is a 35.00 value.

Access the new membership portal HERE.

After completing your membership registration at MotorsportReg.com, a link will be sent to the cell phone provided. This link will require you to take a photo for your membership and sign the waiver electronically using your finger. With the new membership system, the driver is the member, however, if the driver is under 18, the electronic waiver needs to be completed by the driver’s parent or legal guardian. This includes both the photo requirement and signature. Your membership will not be considered complete until this process is complete.
